I didn't really find creating this mind map particularly helpful, but that's probably because of the stage that I'm at with my essay so far. I haven't developed my argument strongly enough so far so I'm limiting my options with my practical work. Ideally, I need to produce more sketchbook work in order to generate ideas, and also help to inform my essay. However, my initial publication ideas are:
- 'Healthy alternatives' recipe book? (Not sure if this has been done 100 times before)
- Truth behind the ads / truthful advertising. Using existing logos and branding combined with type to communicate the 'truth' of HFSS foods
- Interactive book for kids? Showing hidden nastiness behind friendly-looking advertising
- 'From thin to fat' demonstrating effects of eating junk food
- Happy meal toys - satirical illustrations of 'happy meal toys' such as fatty liver disease, insulin & needles etc.
Action Plan:
Get going with sketchbook work!!!
