I've started looking into Medieval and Early Modern European torture techniques:
Tools include: Iron maiden, Knee splitter, Heretics Fork, Thumbscrews, Shame mask, Hand crusher, Breast ripper, The Rack, Pear of Anguish, Rat torture, The Breaking Wheel / Catherine Wheel, Brazen Bull, Saw, Gibbet, Coffin torture, Judas Chair / Judas Cradle, Wooden Horse / Spanish Donkey & the Chair of Torture
I haven't done loads of practical yet as I've been concentrating on Inktober and the Travelling Man brief in Extended Practice..
I've just been starting to compile a bunch of sketches based on what I'm looking at as a means of building up a load of references as well as knowledge of the subject. This will give me a bunch of different possibilities for outcomes.

Updated:
I've continued with the sketches and learning about tools / methods and what they're for.
I also mocked up a possible couple of ideas for the final outcome:
Creating a book of prints and information
- Full page illustration on one side, info of the tool / method and how / why / when it was used.
- Will this be a hardback book like we learnt to make in the bookbinding workshop?
- Could I do a concertina?
- Minimal cover, keeping the detail on the inside
